Practice Engine™ offers Consulting, Support, Implementation and Data Conversion Services.
Practice Engine provides a wide range of consulting services ranged around the product and the infrastructure tools that we use. Included under this heading is training, systems and process reviews, server installs and moves, report creation and manipulation and much more.
All the work that we do under this heading is performed against a user accepted quote. The quote will define the extent of the work to be performed, and the work is carried out under a fixed fee arrangement. There are no surprises.
This is on-going and post-implementation training. It usually occurs when customer teams change, or there are mergers and a large number of people require training.
We think it worth all firms considering a degree of refresher training, at least once a year, to ensure that the best use is being made of the system.
Changes to servers and moving databases to new servers can be fraught if the necessary flags and tags are not set. Our consultants can assist to ensure a smooth transition.
Systems are often implemented to reflect the previous system. By making some minor infrastructure (code) adjustments it is possible to provide far more comprehensive and elegant outputs.
Reviewing the way certain processes are conducted can lead to major streamlining of those processes. Billing and collections are two very key areas in this regard.
Our consultants can create and manipulate Practice Engine reports faster than anyone else, simply because it is what they do. They have the necessary skills and understanding of the structures and the requirements, to produce reports very rapidly.
Support is provided to all firms who maintain a standard Annual License contract. Support is the place you call when you need help, either because something has not worked as it should, or assistance is required with a specific topic.
Support is not a substitute for training, it is to assist where appropriate.
All calls made to the Support team are logged, and whilst many are solved during the initial call, others can take more time.
For most user firms, we have direct access to the SQL and other Servers supporting Practice Engine, and this practice makes everyone's life far simpler. Because we generally only need to support the servers installed and one product, we have a very high ratio of staff to customers.
Practice Engine have a very structured and fine-tuned implementation process. It follows a structured approach where we know from experience what amount of time and the likely duration of the timings.
An implementation revolves around a mixture of consulting, a conversion process, user training and project management. based on an early meeting with the customer team, our model is refined to address the specific issues of that firm. We then proceed to implement the system on a fixed price arrangement.
Key for us is to have the system running for you so that your firm can gain the earliest benefits from the features in Practice Engine. Dragging out implementations are costly, specifically for the firm.
Practice Engine converts data from all of the major practice management systems used in the UK, Ireland and the USA. We convert everything, including transactions for as long as they have been held in the legacy system.
In fact, we are so sure of our capability in this area, that for firms who are serious about migrating we perform a 'test' conversion of data as part of the sales process. The conversion routines being performed for go-live purposes are far more refined than the demo versions. This is as a result of understanding gained during the implementation process.
We also perform data migration for firms merging in other firms, or when demerges take place.
